Terms of service
Last updated October 27, 2026
Draft: these terms are pending legal review.
These terms apply to your use of Famvale (the “Service”). By creating an account, you agree to them. If you are using Famvale for a household, you confirm that you are an adult with authority to add that household’s members.
Your account
Keep your sign-in email secure. You are responsible for activity in your household, including for anyone you invite and any screen you pair. Unpair a screen or remove a member at any time in Household settings.
Free trial and subscription
- New households get a 14-day free trial. No payment method is required to start.
- After the trial, Famvale costs $7 per month or $59 per year per household, plus any applicable taxes. Prices are shown before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Plan & billing, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable, but if something went wrong, email us and we will make it right.
- If the trial ends or a subscription lapses, your board becomes read-only for 30 days, then pauses. We keep your data so you can resubscribe, unless you ask us to delete it.
- We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price change affects your subscription.
Your content
You own what you put into Famvale. You give us permission to store and display it only to provide the Service to your household and to the people you choose to share with.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the Service: no attempts to access another household’s data, no interference with the Service’s security or operation, and no unlawful content.
Third-party devices and services
Famvale runs in browsers on devices made by others (for example Amazon Echo Show) and reads calendars from services like Google and Apple. Those products are governed by their own terms, and they may change in ways that affect Famvale. We will do our best to keep things working, but we can’t guarantee their behavior.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Famvale available and reliable, but the Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We may update features over time. If we ever shut down the Service, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and a way to export your data.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Famvale’s total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including missed events or appointments.
Ending your account
You can stop using Famvale and ask us to delete your household at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
